In my late 20s, I was diagnosed with kidney disease, which rattled my cage... a little. It was enough of a nudge to open my eyes a bit to what “health” really means. I expanded my thinking to include more whole foods, preparing my body for motherhood, and focusing on strength more than the scale.
Five years later, at Method, I was introduced to a form of fitness that was holistic… encompassing mental health, emotional support, physical health, and that number on the scale. It was the whole enchilada wrapped around one feisty and wildly supportive trainer. It was love at first circuit.
So I went out on a limb and reached out to Trish. She had helped so many;
I hoped she would accept my help in return.
No big deal, right? Just a friend helping a friend. But when Trish asked if I wanted to PARTNER with her and Jen- to be fully invested in this tiny company so full of potential - I jumped in with both feet, having no idea what was
really in store for me or for us.
Here’s the crazy part… I was NOT an entrepreneur. I was not one to take huge risks. I was a social introvert with a comfortable life, at home with my husband & kids,
filling my time with travel and play dates.
“She wants me to do WHAT?” And then…we do it.
Method taught me to open my mind and to push myself- because what the hell is the point of the status quo? How is that living? Where’s the fulfillment or satisfaction in THAT? When you are surrounded by a supportive community…when you are encouraged to “just try”…when you know someone will help pick you up if you fall- it gives you the courage to step out of your box.
I hope Method 360 gives you the courage that it gave to me. I hope this post inspires you to “just try”. Because, as we all know, that’s where the magic happens…
