“In November of 2014, I went through a terrible time with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. I had recently suffered a miscarriage and felt so terrible. I honestly couldn’t bear what the future might hold because I was so scared and the depression was starting to take over.
“Method 360 was the only positive thing keeping me together, barely. I would come in day after day and had so much support not only from other clients but the trainers as well. Some days I cried before class started, but I didn’t give up.
“Method was the one thing I looked forward to in my day. It felt safe. The trainers’ talk during class made me feel better…I realized they aren’t perfect and have failed. It gave me hope.
“I began to feel better, started taking some medication, and was getting back on my feet. But I ate lots of unhealthy snacks and was drinking a lot. None of my summer clothes fit, and I started to lose some of my confidence. I continued to work out 4-5 days a week, but nothing was changing.
“It was hard at first; I faced lots of challenges: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and then I hurt my ankle. But slow and steady I went and started to see differences in myself. Also, I suffer from an anxiety disorder, which affects me on a daily basis, and working out at Method 360 eases the severity of my symptoms. I started feeling stronger and more confident."
Trista’s hard work can be seen any day at a Method class,
but recently her confidence was really put to the test at an employee
indoor rock-climbing party!
"I was so excited until I got there and saw how high it was. I am afraid of heights and got scared!
“But my muscles were fatigued, and I needed to let go. I was shaking, scared, and didn’t want to let go because the safety wire gives a slight delay before catching you. I finally LET GO, pushed off the wall, and holy shit, it CAUGHT me! I was so relieved.
“Method 360 has been my safety wire. It has supported me, encouraged me, and hasn’t let me fall (even though somedays aren’t perfect…some days are hard).
It has always been there.
“As cliché as it sounds, it has truly changed my life. It has saved my life and pulled me through hard, dark times. I love my Method family. Thank you Method 360 and to my method tribe for always being there when I’ve needed you the most….And thank you for always catching me whenever I might fall."
