For our purposes at Method 360, these are mostly centered on fitness goals, weight loss, old patterns etc. But other flags show up all the time, keeping you stuck until you a) recognize them and b) create supportive actions to get un-stuck!
Sometimes flags are tougher to identify and are more about patterns of thinking: self doubt, lack of accountability, self-sabotage, depression, old destructive patterns, etc.
When a client comes up to chat with me in a 45-minute Fitness Rx Assessment, we sit down and name these things - the easy ones AND the hard ones. We also attach a possible solution or a supportive action to the flags, and create a way over, under, around, or through that flag!
Flag: knee replacement
Supportive Action: personal training with Kristen Griffin
Flag: diet & nutrition struggles
Supportive Action: nutrition coaching with Aaron Reardon
Flag: lack of accountability
Supportive Action: goal setting with Jess Ryan & getting connected to our community
Flag: back pain
Supportive Action: seeing Dr. Barrett Parker
Flag: "I can't" mentality or general pessimism
Supportive Action: a transparent conversation with Trish, Leslie, or our training staff
