Ann Lamprey & Kathy McCloskey are our July Success Stories! So many clients requested that we feature them because these sisters debunk the myth that Method 360 is too hard or is only for already-fit people!
Each was hesitant to try something new, but they are so happy they did! They lost lots of fat & gained muscle, but read between the lines below: their brains have been rewired, and they are now fit, empowered women!
How Ann became hooked on Method 360:
My daughter, Amy Kruse, raved about the classes she was taking with Trish long before Method 360’s new location. I was tempted to take a class with her, but I was out of shape, scared, and intimidated. Amy encouraged me to talk to Jen Liddy to see if Method 360 would be something I could do. Jen told me about Catalyst program that was starting the following week and it seemed like the perfect fit for me. I signed up immediately.
I worked so hard during the six weeks of Catalyst that I want to keep going. I wanted to maintain the fat I lost and the muscle I gained. My 70th birthday was looming and I wanted to look good. I achieved that goal (and rocked it at my birthday party!) It helped to have Amy and my awesome sister, Kathy, working out alongside me.
Method 360 is a community. It is not a competition. We are there for ourselves, but we are also a team. At Method 360, there is never time to get bored. We transition from each exercise & station so quickly that I barely have time to look at the clock on the wall. The trainers encourage us to modify the exercises to meet our particular abilities. I walk out of the gym knowing that I worked out my entire body.
I’ve made taking classes at Method 360 a priority in my life. I have to take good care of myself and feel good about who I am before I can take care of others. Being fit has given me confidence. I finally feel good in my body - I wear yoga pants! And tank tops! I have many years ahead of me, and I love feeling good and having the energy to do whatever I want. I can now get up and down off the floor when playing with my grandchildren - without groaning! What’s more incentive than that?
I feel like I have finally learned how to exercise. Walking on the treadmill wasn’t getting me anywhere - and now I know why! Cardio is good, but I know now that if I really want to be fit, I have to challenge my body and use weights or body resistance. I’ve also learned the value of good nutrition. I have to have a healthy diet as part of my new lifestyle. In the beginning my goal was to lose weight. Now I have new goals. I want to continue going to Method 360 classes at least twice a week and to keep the momentum of my new healthy lifestyle. I want to increase my strength, balance and mobility so that my next thirty years are healthy and happy. Thank you for changing my life, Trish and Method 360!
• Describe yourself before and after reaching your goal:
Before starting Method 360 I was complacent about my soft body, decreasing strength, and low energy. I also had an unhealthy relationship with food. I was constantly dieting and I got on the scale every day. Now I am a changed woman. I don’t participate in any “fat talk” and no longer get on the scale every morning. Method 360 has given me confidence, strength, knowledge and mobility. I surpassed my expectations. I feel so much stronger in body and mind.
• What would you tell someone who is on the fence about trying M360?
People think they have to be fit to take a Method 360 class. Method 360 exists to get people into shape! You have to start somewhere, so why not start at a place you know you will get the results you want? Method 360 is a supportive, nonjudgmental, welcoming gym. I started when I was 69 years old and now I’m 70! If I can do it, anyone can.
• What is your favorite Method-ism?
During Catalyst it was, "The scale is your enemy." I moved my scale from my bedroom to the guest room closet. There it sits, lonely and dusty.
How Kathy got hooked:
My niece, Amy Kruse had been taking classes with Trish and raved about them. My sister Ann said she was going to sign up for the February Catalyst and I said, “Me too!” I also vowed to myself never to let my body and health get out of control again. Just being more fit makes those difficult times easier.
Method 360 has taught me about the “wave” of how our body interprets exertion and heart rate. I’ve learned how to adapt most any exercise to meet the needs of my body and fitness. I’ve learned how good it feels to be fit again. I’ve lost 25 pounds and dropped from a size large to a medium. I’m stronger, have more endurance, and am more fit. I’m eating healthier and feel better about myself. I have a little more to go then it will be just about maintaining what I’ve achieved.
I was a happy person before but I was embarrassed to be seen in a bathing suit. I would cover up my weight by wearing big shirts and baggy outfits. Now, I’m more confident about my body and ready to go swimming! It’s worth every penny! The instructors are excellent and sincerely care about you and your success in achieving your goals.

·What is your favorite day to go to M360? Upper, Lower, Full body?
I can’t say I have a favorite day. Each one is unique and although the focus may be a little different for each, you still end up getting a total body workout.
·What is your favorite Method-ism?
Teach them everything…. No secrets.
