This is Stevi’s story:
“When Trish first arrived in Syracuse, she ran a special on Method 360 classes. I was not convinced I could do it, but the price was right so I gave it a try. I built strength fast and wanted to continue. It was the first time ever that I felt like I could do something like this.”
Though the classes were hard, Stevi found them to be worth it because she used muscles she didn’t know she even had! “Once you try it you will never work out the same way again!”
“I have not only lost 30 pounds, but I have gained a ton of strength and endurance. I hope to be able to do pull-ups on my own someday, run a 5k (I hate running), and have better balance. I also want to be able to do longer holds on the TRX without a break and to do all the exercises with proper form. Before Method 360 I was hidden under baggy clothes and was extremely weak. Now I am strong and do not need to hide behind XXL clothes!”
Stevi looks at Method 360 not as just a gym but a lifestyle. “It has become an extended family too; many of us have formed play groups, book clubs, or socialized outside of class. Trish Gallen & Method 360 have changed my life, and I am grateful every day for my new lifestyle. The classes are different and challenging every time, and I know no matter how depleted I am, I can do anything for a minute. That is always in in my head. I know that I never want to go back to where I was before I started. I also feel much better after I have worked out. I love my Method 360 friends and the people who go to classes are awesome and so supportive!”
We asked Stevi some questions about Method 360 and her own experience:
What have you learned from Method 360? - That I am a strong, capable woman who can work out on my own if needed. When I was out of the country with my students, I lead a Method 360- style workout in the morning and was so proud of myself for doing it! Also a group of us took turns leading workouts at the Y while Method relocated, and I am still shocked that I knew what to do without Trish right there driving the bus for me. I am forever indebted to her for teaching me that skill. I now know that I have tools to continue on this journey anywhere and anytime.
What would you tell someone who is on the fence about trying M360?-If I can do this anybody can!! I could not do one pushup or even bicycles when I started this process. Now I workout 6 days a week! I cried on the way home from my first class because I could not believe that I was in a class where I could actually do what others were doing. I had years of failed exercise attempts, embarrassment of my lack of coordination, money wasted and self-esteem deflated. With Trish, I felt successful from day one!! She works with you where you are and strength comes very quickly.
What is your favorite Trish-ism?-The scale is a liar!!!! I needed to learn that early on. I do not bother to check anymore as I know muscle is part of my weight and that I am healthy and strong. I also love that she calls modifications “enhancements” because I have needed many along the way and never was made to feel bad about taking them.
